Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to bring a major shake-up in the commuter motorcycle segment. The upcoming 2026 Hero Glamour 125 has been spotted during testing, and it’s packing some surprising upgrades — including segment-first features like cruise control and a fully digital instrument cluster. Once launched, this will be the first affordable commuter bike in India to offer cruise control, marking a major milestone for the segment.
Cruise Control on a Commuter Bike? Yes, It’s Happening!
Spy shots currently making rounds online show the test mule equipped with cruise control—a feature that, until now, has only been seen on premium motorcycles. In fact, none of Hero’s current models, not even the top-of-the-line Mavrick 440, offer this feature. While cruise control is typically useful for long highway rides on bigger bikes, Hero introducing it on a 125cc commuter could be a game-changing move for everyday riders.
Spotted with Digital Console, New Switchgear & More
The test bike was seen wrapped in heavy camouflage—though instead of the usual black wraps, it had a brown duct tape covering. Key design elements like the shape of the fuel tank, a visible fuel lid, and the long single-piece seat confirm this prototype as the next-gen Glamour 125.
Among the standout additions is a fully digital LCD instrument cluster, possibly similar to the one seen on the Hero Xtreme 250. Though it’s not officially confirmed yet, the console looks quite premium for this segment. Right below the screen is a USB charging port, which adds further convenience for daily riders.
LED Indicators, Updated Controls, Same Reliable Engine
The updated Glamour 125 will also sport LED turn indicators, a clear upgrade from the current model’s halogen setup. With cruise control and a digital cluster now in place, new switchgear controls have also been added, visible on the prototype.
Despite the modern upgrades, the bike stays true to its commuter DNA. It retains practical design features like telescopic front forks, traditional foot pegs, a fully covered chain, usable grab rail, basic crash guard, and a long single-piece seat for comfort.
Under the hood, the Glamour 125 continues with the same 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, delivering 10.7 bhp and 10.6 Nm of torque—offering a balance of performance and efficiency that’s ideal for everyday use.
Set to Rival TVS Raider & Honda CB125 Hornet
When launched, the 2026 Hero Glamour 125 will compete directly with the TVS Raider 125 and the newly unveiled Honda CB125 Hornet, among others. While Hero hasn’t confirmed an official launch timeline yet, more updates are expected to surface in the coming months.
With bold upgrades like cruise control and a digital dashboard, the new Glamour 125 could redefine what Indian riders expect from a budget commuter motorcycle.
