Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG’s Features: Bajaj Auto has created a stir in the Indian market by launching the world’s first CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) powered motorcycle, Bajaj Freedom 125. This bike not only saves fuel but also helps in reducing pollution. Let’s know more about it.
Freedom 125 CNG Design and Features
The design of Bajaj Freedom 125 is simple but powerful. It has a fully LED headlight and taillight as well as modern looking halogen indicators. There is a monochrome LCD display for the speedometer which also supports Bluetooth connectivity. The most special feature of the bike is the common flap given for the fuel tank, by opening which you can get petrol and CNG refilled simultaneously. Bajaj claims that this bike has the longest seat (785 mm) in the segment which covers the fuel tank to a great extent at the front.
The CNG tank is placed under this seat. The CNG tank is green and the petrol tank is orange to indicate the type of fuel. The Bajaj Freedom 125 has been subjected to rigorous tests for safety, including front, side, top and even being crushed under a truck.
Power, Performance, and Mileage
In Bajaj Freedom 125, the company has given a 125 cc petrol engine which generates 9.5 PS of power and 9.7 Nm of torque. This engine provides enough power for daily use.
This bike has two types of fuel tanks – a 2-liter petrol tank and a 2 kg capacity CNG tank. The company claims that this bike can give a range of up to 330 km in full tank (petrol + CNG). Talking about mileage, this bike claims to give a mileage of 102 km in 1 kg CNG and 67 km in one liter of petrol. Bajaj Freedom 125 has a switch on the handlebar so that you can easily switch between petrol and CNG mode.
Freedom 125 CNG Variants and Price
The Bajaj Freedom 125 is offered in three variants:
● Bajaj Freedom 125 NG04 Drum
● Bajaj Freedom 125 NG04 Drum LED
● Bajaj Freedom 125 NG04 Disc LED
These three variants differ in some special features like drum or disc brakes and LED headlights. Talking about the price, the starting price of Bajaj Freedom 125 is Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom), which also makes it attractive due to its affordable range.
